Every haunted house in the Denver metro for the 2026 season, with dates, hours, prices, age guidance, and whether it is open on Halloween night. Saturday, October 31 is the busiest haunt night of the year and nearly every one of these sells timed tickets, so buy before you drive. We produce Paranormal Palace, the 21+ Halloween night party at the DoubleTree DTC, which is not a haunted house. We built this page because the two questions arrive together: where do I get scared, and where do I go after.
Updated October 12, 2026, from each attraction’s own site and ticket calendar. Prices are the posted starting prices and most of these haunts raise them on peak nights.

Every haunt above closes by midnight. Paranormal Palace runs 8 PM to 1 AM at the DoubleTree DTC, and the clocks fall back at 2 AM. The math for doing both is further down.
13th Floor Haunted House, Denver
The biggest production in the metro. The 2026 lineup is Jason Universe: Survive the Night (an officially licensed Friday the 13th walkthrough), The Stitchworks: House of Reanimation, and Cathedral of the Crimson Queen, plus paid add-ons: axe throwing, five-minute escape games, two 21+ secret bars, and the Clown Chaos maze. Fast Pass is about a third of the general admission wait. Take the one-hour-early advice seriously on a Saturday. Official site: 13thfloorhauntedhouse.com.
The Frightmare Compound, Westminster
The oldest haunt on this list, founded in 1983, and the one that leans hardest into darkness: a fully blacked-out section, a coffin simulator, a monster museum, and candle-lit Lights Out nights to close the season. New for 2026 is Frightmare Town, a tiny-town horror set with mini escape rooms. Arrive 30 minutes before your slot if you want the escape rooms or coffin ride, which are not sold on the last time slot. Official site: thefrightmarecompound.com.
Haunted Field of Screams, Thornton
Forty acres of cornfield along Riverdale Road, with multiple haunted houses inside the maze and a wooded chase sequence. The 2026 storyline is A Ride to the Riverdale Gates of Hell. Westword named it Best Haunted House in 2025. Fridays and Saturdays run to 11:30, Thursdays and Sundays to 9:30. Do not count on the box office; buy online. Official site: hauntedfieldofscreams.com.
Reinke Brothers Haunted Mansion, Littleton
Family-run for more than 50 years and the closest haunt to the Tech Center. Saturday hours are 3 PM to midnight, so Halloween night is a long window. The Lights On tour is the one on this page you can bring small kids to. Official site: reinkebrothers.com.
Terror in the Corn at Anderson Farms, Erie
A mile-long haunted trail through the cornfield to the abandoned town of Raven’s Gulch, on uneven ground, with the farm’s fall festival included in every ticket. Wheelchairs and canes are fine; no motorized scooters. Official site: terrorinthecorn.com.
Fright Fest at Elitch Gardens, Denver
By day it is the park plus Booville; after dark it is three haunted houses and scare zones between the rides. Official site: elitchgardens.com/fright-fest.
The Ritual, Creepy Walk in the Woods, and the Colorado Springs haunts
The Springs haunts are a separate night, not a stop on the way to one.
Halloween night: scare first, party after
Every haunt on this list closes by midnight and most by 11. Paranormal Palace runs 8 PM to 1 AM at the DoubleTree by Hilton Denver Tech Center in Greenwood Village, and the clocks fall back at 2 AM, so Halloween night 2026 is 25 hours long. The math works:
- 13th Floor at 6 PM (arrive at 5 for the checkpoint), out by 7:30, roughly half an hour down I-25 to the hotel.
- Reinke Brothers at 5 or 6 PM, about 20 minutes to the DTC.
- Fright Fest by day, haunts at dusk, out by 8, about 25 minutes to Greenwood Village.
Costumes are mandatory at the Palace, so whatever got you through the haunt gets you in the door. VIP is $174.40 with fees and includes express entry and four private bars with drinks included, which matters when you have already stood in one line that night. General admission is $66 with fees. Hotel rooms upstairs start at $145, so the drive home is an elevator. Tickets and the full breakdown are here.
A haunted house and the Palace are different nights out: one is 20 to 45 minutes of being chased, the other is five hours with three DJs and a $2,500 costume contest. The people who do both on the 31st are the ones who planned the early slot.

Not on this list, and why
City of the Dead in Henderson shows no 2026 season; its site has said under construction since 2022. Maize in the City in Thornton and the Chatfield Farms corn maze are daytime, family mazes with no haunted component (Maize in the City sends you next door to Haunted Field of Screams for that). Scream Acres at Fritzler Farm Park in LaSalle is a real haunted corn maze but a 50-mile drive, with 2026 hours we could not confirm. If a haunt you know is missing, it is because we could not verify a 2026 run, not because we left it out on purpose. The full metro calendar of everything else, haunted or not, is here, and the Halloween pop-up bars are here.
