Paranormal Palace FAQ

Everything you need to know before Saturday, October 31 — tickets, costumes, the contest, parking, rooms, and the house rules that keep the night incredible for everyone. Can’t find your answer? Message us and a human will get back to you.

The basics

Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM at the DoubleTree by Hilton Denver Tech Center, 7801 E. Orchard Road, Greenwood Village, CO 80111. It’s a full hotel takeover — the Haunted Forest ballroom, the multi-level atrium, and 41 balcony rooms overlooking the dance floor.
Paranormal Palace is strictly 21+. In accordance with Colorado liquor laws, every guest must present a valid government-issued 21+ ID at the door. No ID means no entry, even with a ticket — no exceptions.
Tickets are sold through TicketFairy. Earlier price tiers cost less and Saturday-Halloween years sell out, so buy early. If you can’t find your ticket at the door, pull it up in your TicketFairy account, or door staff can look up your reservation using your ID.

General Admission gets you the full event —  VIP adds included drinks, private VIP bars, four exclusive areas, and an express entrance so you skip the line at the door.

All sales are final and no refunds are issued. If circumstances beyond our control force a change to the event, Kevin Larson Presents will provide a reasonable substitute of similar style and value. The complete terms are in the fine print at the bottom of this page.

Costumes & the $2,500 contest

Yes — costumes are mandatory, and street clothes will not get past the door. The room only works because every single guest commits, and every year the crowd itself is the best show in Denver.

No weapons as costume props — real or replica, no exceptions.  Not sure whether your prop will fly? Message us before the night rather than finding out at the door.

Register at the contest table on the second floor before 11 PM. Our judges — professional performers, makeup artists, and costume designers — select the top 20, who walk the stage at midnight for $2,500 in cash and prizes. It’s the largest costume contest in Colorado, and people plan for it all year.
The 41 atrium balcony rooms overlook the main dance floor, and guests who book one can decorate their balcony and compete. These rooms sell out first every single year — book early through the links on this site.

Getting there, parking & staying over

There is Onsite parking but fills up quick, best to use if you are staying the night. The E and R light rail lines serve the Tech Center within walking distance of the DoubleTree, and rideshare pickup runs at the hotel entrance. However you plan it, plan it before you go out — and never drink and drive.

Yes, and it’s the best way to do this event. Discounted rooms at the DoubleTree — including the atrium balcony rooms overlooking the party — are available through our booking links. Booking a room means no ride home: when the ballroom closes, you ride the elevator up. Book a balcony room or a standard room.
The production ends at 1 — the night doesn’t have to. This is a hotel takeover, so guests with rooms move the party upstairs: no ride, no cover, no last call on your own floor. In 2026, clocks fall back at 2 AM, so room parties even collect a bonus 25th hour of Halloween. Just be a good neighbor to fellow guests and drink responsibly — the whole point is that nobody has to drive.

At the event

The Haunted Forest ballroom carries 8,000 square feet of decor, stage shows, and bars. The multi-level atrium becomes a maze of walkways, interactive exhibits, and light shows. Across the night: three DJs, more than 20 performers, theatrical acts, dance troupes, interactive booths, and photo opportunities everywhere you turn.

No Reentry
Coat Check is Available – Free for VIP

The DoubleTree by Hilton Denver Tech Center is an ADA-accessible venue with elevator access to all event levels.

We shoot photo and video all night, and by entering the event you may appear in our galleries and promotional material — see the Photos and Video page for past years. If a photographer catches your costume, that’s usually good news for the contest.
