Denver’s Halloween Hotel Party: Sleep Where You Celebrate

Most Halloween parties end with you on a curb at 1:45 AM, watching a rideshare estimate climb. Ours ends with an elevator. Paranormal Palace is a full hotel takeover of the DoubleTree by Hilton Denver Tech Center — the ballroom, the atrium, and the guest rooms above it are all part of the same night. Book a room, and Halloween stops being a logistics problem.

A hotel takeover isn’t a party at a hotel. It’s a party that becomes the hotel. On October 31, the DoubleTree DTC stops being a hotel with an event in it and turns into a single connected world across multiple floors:

The Haunted Forest ballroom — 8,000 square feet of decor and lighting, stage shows, the main dance floor, interactive exhibits, and bars.

The atrium — a multi-level design of walkways, overlooks, and hallways that form a maze of entertainment, with 41 balcony rooms looking down on the dance floor and the live performances below. Multiple bars, immersive decor, and dynamic light shows run through all of it.

The rooms upstairs — the part no other Denver Halloween party has. Your bed is above the party, not across town from it.

Forty-one rooms open onto balconies that overlook the main dance floor. From your railing you’re looking straight down at the stage, the crowd, and the light show — a private box seat for the biggest Halloween night in the metro, with your bed ten feet behind you.

Guests who book one can decorate their balcony and compete in the balcony decor contest. Every year these rooms are the first thing to sell out, usually well before the ticket tiers do. If you want one, book it now rather than in October.

Halloween 2026 falls on a Saturday — the first since 2020 — which means every event in the metro empties onto the streets at the same hour. Rideshare surge pricing between midnight and 3 AM is not a maybe. Run the numbers before you decide a room is a splurge:

The room usually isn’t the expensive option. It’s the one that removes the 2 AM decision entirely.

The production ends at 1. Your night doesn’t have to. When the ballroom lights come up, guests with rooms just change floors — no ride, no cover, no last call, no coat check line. The people you spent all night with are already in the building.

This year there’s a bonus: clocks fall back at 2:00 AM as Halloween becomes November 1, so the night runs 25 hours. Every room party on our floors collects an extra hour of Halloween that the rest of Denver spends in a parking lot.

Two asks, because the hotel is home to other guests too: be a good neighbor, and drink responsibly. The entire point of this format is that nobody has to drive.

Groups and crews. Split a room, get a home base for costume repairs, drink storage, and a place to regroup between floors. Book adjacent rooms and your crew has a whole hallway.

Couples. A balcony over the dance floor and no ride home is a better Halloween date than any restaurant reservation in the city.

Out-of-towners. Fly or drive in, park once, and never move the car until Sunday. Denver’s Halloween night becomes a weekend instead of a logistics exercise.
